BACKGROUND
My name is Yohana Chilunda and I am studying Bachelor of Technology in Agricultural Engineering at St Joseph University College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology in Songea. I am 26 years old and the third born in a family of five children and I am happy that my parents are all alive. I grew up at Itigi, Singida the central part of Tanzania. My family depends on small scale agriculture production where my family only produces enough food for eating hence the problem in paying the fee for my university studies. The challenges which I faced was lack of money for paying the university fee but I have finally received a chance form Help to Help scholarship program whereby they will sponsor me and I will do my best to make it successful. Currently I’m working hard to find a way to start a business where I can be self-employment based on greenhouse installation and establishment of irrigation schemes. Generally, I am a co-operative, creative, committed and honest person. My dream job is to promote the development of my nation by improving agriculture, designing and establishing irrigation schemes, greenhouses and plantations. To help others who live in hard condition, to self-employ in field production and agro business activities. I’m interested in protecting the environment and improving the comfort and quality of life. Through intelligence, application of science and technology I am certain that we can achieve a “Sustainable Development” of Tanzania. In my spare time I like to do sports and games especially athletics, football, martial arts and reading historical, novel and inspirational books.
