BACKGROUND
Yusuph Mbangile is the middle child out of three siblings which might explain why he became interested in politics and conflict solving. Yusuph’s mother is a saleswoman and his father previously worked as a chauffeur for CRDB Bank in Dar es Salaam but he sadly passed away from lung cancer five years ago. His sudden passing left the family in a difficult financial situation and Yusuph’s dream of continuing with studies at a university level seemed to disappear. However, Yusuph was determined to somehow study further and eventually managed to get support from an Indian businessman who saw Yusuph’s potential. Unfortunately the business man's support was limited and facing his last year Yusuph did not have any way to pay the school fees for his Bachelor of Political Science and Public Administration. Yusuph got in contact with Help to Help through the University of Dar es Salaam and presented a very impressive personal letter and resume. In Tanzania, being involved in activities outside of studies in the way Yusuph has been, is very rare. Amongst many things, he has conducted research on gender equality in Tanzanian politics and done an internship for the youth organization TAYOA where he was responsible for partnerships with other organizations, stakeholders and assisted at TAYOA's courses and programs for HIV prevention. Yusuph’s references all agree he is a young man with exceptional potential. He is also a very good networker and is always contributing to Help to Help’s student network A network of great potential.
