BACKGROUND
I was born in Dodoma municipal in Tanzania, and I am the second born amongst three children. My parents have both passed away, but they were the best parents, as they taught us to live for the others, respect, hardworking and prayers. My previous education was good because I have always liked to study and learn new things and therefore I was very happy to spend time in school. Despite of the challenges that students may face when studying in government schools, I tried my best to study and fulfil my dreams by not allowing those challenges to be an obstacle to reach my goals.
WHY
The issues that inspired me to choose social work profession, are the challenges that many families and people are going through, like marital conflicts as a results of the street children, disabilities and even death. Another issue is poverty which is a huge problem to many people in the country. Through my future profession I would help people to solve the family conflicts through the knowledge and skills that I'm getting in the university, for example I will use therapeutic techniques and counselling skills in solving different family conflicts. Also I'll help people who have given up in life to recognize their potential and working on it so that to be independent and not dependent. My dream job is being a social worker, as a social worker I want work with people in the society to remove social unjust and bring social justice amongst the members of the society. My main concern is working with children, why working with children? This is because children cannot help for themselves hence they need help from their parents or guardians and other caregivers during their growing process. The way children are treated during their childhood is likely to determine who they will become in their adulthood, as in the way of thinking and behaviour. Therefore I would like to work with children so that to create a good generation of adults with confidence, self reliance, innovative skills, hardworking and self determination to their better future.
INTERESTS
During my free time I like to cook, since I really like to eat. The physical and mental health depend on the meal we are eating everyday. I like to watch the documentaries concerning children, because I am interested to know how to live with children and how to treat them and the challenges that they are facing. And also I like to spend time with my friends as I can share and learn different ideas and opinions in daily life.
